Work With Us

Develop the people who shape your culture.

Empathy Evolved provides training, coaching, and culture-development support for leaders and teams responsible for serving others.

We help people understand restorative justice, apply restorative practices with purpose, and develop the mindset needed to create a restorative community. Our work connects empathy and care with discipline, consistency, and accountability.

Each engagement is shaped by what your organization does, whom you serve, and what people experience when they interact with you.

01

Restorative Justice Training

Build a clear, shared understanding.

Effective implementation begins with understanding what restorative justice is, what it asks of people, and why it matters.

Everett Daily teaches restorative justice in clear, practical language, connecting its principles to the responsibilities and situations participants encounter. His teaching addresses common misunderstandings and helps people understand the relationship between community, care, accountability, consequences, and repairing harm.

Training can address:

  • What restorative justice is and what it is not.
  • The role of relationships and community in restorative work.
  • Accountability with support.
  • Consequences that educate, inform, and hold people responsible.
  • How adults and leaders contribute to the conditions surrounding conflict and harm.
  • The purpose of restorative practices and where they fit.

The focus is on helping participants understand the work well enough to make thoughtful decisions about their own practice.

Restorative Practice Coaching

Put understanding into everyday practice.

Knowing a practice includes understanding when to use it, why it is useful, and how our own approach affects the people involved.

Everett coaches teachers, security staff, deans, and administrators on implementing restorative practices with fidelity to their purpose. Coaching connects the practice to the relationships people navigate: student to student, adult to student, colleague to colleague, and staff to parent.

The work includes examining real situations, observing interactions, providing feedback, and offering coaching as people put their learning into use.

Coaching can address:

  • Choosing and using restorative practices appropriately.
  • Preparing for and having restorative conversations.
  • Responding to conflict, offense, and harm.
  • Recognizing the influence of tone, language, assumptions, and presence.
  • Using authority to guide, protect, support, and hold people accountable.
  • Reestablishing connection and expectations after a difficult interaction.

Restorative Mindset and Culture Development

Connect how your people serve with the culture you want to create.

Culture takes shape through repeated interactions—how people are welcomed, heard, supported, corrected, and held accountable.

Empathy Evolved works with leaders and teams to understand those interactions and strengthen the practices that shape them. We help people examine their responsibility to those they serve and make adjustments in how they think, respond, and work together.

This engagement brings together learning about your organization, observation, workshops, training, real-time coaching, and feedback. The combination responds to your setting and the needs that emerge through the work.

How we work with you

Understand your work and the people you serve.

We begin by learning what your organization does, how you serve, what you expect of your people, and what you want those receiving your services to experience.

Observe everyday practice.

We observe how people interact and carry out their responsibilities, paying attention to relationships, communication, expectations, and responses when challenges arise.

Consider the experience of those receiving your service.

Where possible, we learn from the experiences of students, families, clients, customers, or community members. Their perspectives help us understand how your intentions are experienced in practice.

Teach and practice together.

Workshops and training address the needs identified through that understanding. We help people connect restorative principles to their actual roles and interactions.

Coach, provide feedback, and support adjustment.

Real-time coaching and feedback help people recognize patterns, consider different responses, and put their learning into practice. We revisit what is happening and identify where further support or adjustment is needed.

Shape the engagement around your community.

You may need a focused training, coaching around a specific challenge, or a combination of observation, learning, and ongoing support.

Together, we establish the purpose, participants, scope, and format of the work. Our aim is to help your people develop the understanding, care, and consistency needed to serve well and sustain a restorative culture.

Culture does not transform because people attend a session. Culture transforms when the people do.
